Browse by topic or search for your question below. If you don't find what you're looking for, reach us at community@thescla.org.

Getting Started

Select your university from the campus directory on the Find Your School page. If your campus is listed, register using your university email address and choose your membership plan. Access is immediate upon activation. If your campus isn't listed, you can request access from the same page.

No. SCLA Academy is open enrollment for students at participating campuses. No invitation, no application, no GPA requirement. You need a valid university email address from an affiliated campus.

A valid university email address from a participating campus and a payment method for your membership ($6/month or $59/year).

Immediately. There is no review period, no approval queue, and no waiting. Your dashboard is available as soon as your registration and payment are complete.

The Live Academy Kickoff is a live orientation session hosted by the SCLA team for all new Academy members. It covers the platform, introduces you to peers from other campuses, and gives you a clear first-30-day action plan. Attendance is not required — a recorded version is available in your dashboard within 24 hours if you can't make a live session.

Student Benefits

Your membership includes the AI Interview Simulator, Career Simulation Tool, AI Resume Builder, Academic Success System, micro-internships (first one included at launch), accredited learning programs, a credentials wallet, job application templates, professional outreach templates, a progress dashboard, and access to the national student community. All tools are available from your first login.

No. Start anywhere. There is no required sequence. Most students begin with the career simulation tool or resume builder, but your dashboard is open from day one and you can navigate based on what matters most to you right now.

Yes. All accredited learning programs are self-paced. You work through them on your own schedule and earn credentials upon completion.

Depending on what you complete, you can earn digital badges, micro-certificates, a Career Foundations Certification, letters of completion from micro-internship partner companies, and a letter of recommendation. All credentials are stored in your credentials wallet and shareable with a single link.

Yes. The platform is available on desktop and mobile. All tools, your dashboard, and your credentials wallet are accessible from any device.

Micro-Internships

A six-week, self-paced professional project connected to a real participating company. You select a project from the opportunity library, complete the work using SCLA's templates and resources, and submit a professional presentation and project brief. When you finish, you receive a company-issued letter of completion, a digital credential, and a portfolio artifact you can use in job applications and interviews.

Yes. The company name goes on your resume. The letter of completion and digital credential go in your credentials wallet and are shareable directly to LinkedIn. The portfolio artifact gives you a specific project to discuss in every interview.

Yes. During our national launch period, the first micro-internship is included with every Academy enrollment. After the launch period, micro-internships will be available for $39 each.

We suggest approximately 10 hours per week over four to six consecutive weeks. The program is self-paced — you can move faster or take more time. The more consistently you work, the stronger your final deliverable.

Yes. Everything is virtual. All sessions, mentorship, and project work happen online.

No. Micro-internships are unpaid project experiences. The value is the credential, the portfolio artifact, the company name on your resume, and the professional story you build.

You select from the available opportunity library based on your interests and goals. An onboarding assessment helps narrow the options if you're not sure where to start.

Yes. After the first included micro-internship, additional projects are available for $39 each. You can complete as many as you want during your membership.

Yes. We expect students to use modern tools, including AI, to work more effectively. You are still responsible for the quality and originality of what you create and submit.

SCLA reviews your submission against a clear rubric and provides feedback before finalizing your credentials. The process is designed to be supportive, not evaluative in a gatekeeping sense — the goal is to make sure every credential you earn reflects real work.

Academic Success System

A standalone set of tools built to help students improve academic performance — goal tracking, time management frameworks, focus tools, and accountability systems designed specifically for college students. It's included with every Academy membership.

Because better academic standing opens more career doors. Higher GPAs expand scholarship eligibility, improve graduate school options, and — for Academy members — open the path to SCLA Honor Society membership. We built the Academic Success System as a standalone benefit because academic performance and career readiness are directly connected.

No. It's a supplement, not a replacement. Your campus tutoring, advising, and academic support services are still your primary institutional resources. The Academic Success System gives you the personal productivity and goal-setting infrastructure that campus resources typically don't provide.

Yes. Academy members who reach a 3.0 GPA or higher may apply for Honor Society membership at any time. The Academic Success System is designed in part to help students get there.

Pricing & Access

$6/month billed monthly, or $59/year billed annually — a savings of 18% compared to monthly billing.

Yes. Monthly memberships can be cancelled at any time. Annual memberships are billed once and are not refunded for unused periods, but access continues through the end of the billing period.

There is no free trial at this time. The first micro-internship is included with every enrollment during our national launch period, which means your first major platform experience is at no additional cost beyond your membership.

No. Students pay directly for their own Academy access. There is no institutional fee and no campus billing. Your campus affiliation provides access — the investment is yours.

All major credit and debit cards. Payment is processed securely at registration.

Monthly memberships can be cancelled at any time. If you transfer to a non-affiliated campus, your existing membership remains active through your current billing period. Recent graduates within 12 months of completion retain access under the same membership terms.

Campus & University

Visit the Find Your School page and search the campus directory. If your university is listed, your campus is affiliated and you can register today using your university email address.

Your university email address is your verification that you're an enrolled student at a participating campus. It's the only access requirement — no application, no GPA check, no approval process.

You can request campus access from the Find Your School page. We'll reach out to the appropriate administrator at your institution and keep you updated. Many campuses are added within a few weeks of a student request.

Your campus representative is a faculty or staff member at your institution who serves as the point of contact between your campus and SCLA Academy. Select your university on the Find Your School page to see your representative's name and title.

No. Your campus representative is available if you have questions that go beyond what our support team covers, but day-to-day platform access and support are handled directly by SCLA. You don't need to involve your representative to register, use the tools, or complete a micro-internship.

Honor Society vs. Academy

SCLA Honor Society is invitation-only and recognizes students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. SCLA Academy is open enrollment and focused on career preparation — available to any enrolled student at a participating campus regardless of GPA. Honor Society members receive full Academy access automatically.

No. Honor Society membership includes full Academy access automatically. Everything in SCLA Academy — tools, micro-internships, learning programs, credentials wallet, community — is included in your Honor Society membership at no additional cost.

Yes. Academy members who reach a 3.0 GPA or higher can apply for Honor Society membership at any time. You pay the difference between your Academy investment and the $95 Honor Society fee, and your membership upgrades automatically.

If your GPA meets your institution's threshold (typically 3.0 or higher), contact your campus representative or reach out to community@thescla.org to begin the Honor Society application process.

For Parents

Yes. SCLA — The Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement — is the #1 college-to-career honor society in the country, with more than 125,000 members across 850 campuses. SCLA Academy is a career readiness platform built by the same organization, connected to a network of 3,000+ participating employers including companies like Amazon, Bank of America, IBM, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs.

Yes. SCLA Academy is only available at campuses that have formally affiliated with the program. A campus administrator at your child's institution reviewed and approved the program before making it available to enrolled students.

Students use AI-powered career tools to practice interviews, build resumes, and explore career paths. They complete accredited learning programs that earn them verifiable credentials. They work on employer-connected micro-internship projects and receive company-issued letters of completion. And they use the academic success system to strengthen their GPA and academic performance. Everything is self-paced and accessible from any device.

$6/month or $59/year, paid directly by the student. There is no cost to the institution or to parents unless you choose to pay on behalf of your student.
